Three more of Clapton’s cup winning team have now left the club

Eight more players have departed Clapton as new manager Jonny Fowell continues to revamp his squad.

They include three more of the starting line-up who brought home the Gordon Brasted Trophy to end the quarter-century goal drought.

They are:

Roddy Lemba, who notched 13 goals in 25 starts in his Tons career and was the last of four strikers who scored double figures last season who was still with the club

Pete Moore, popular left-back who made 40 appearances last season before taking a break to study for The Knowledge but has recently indicated he wanted to return

Euan Taylor-Reid, composed young defender who showed huge maturity to score a penalty in the Gordon Brasted final

Also no longer registered with the Tons are Will Mowbray, who was the top scorer still at the club this season with three goals, and steely defender Idu Bogdan, who had yet to appear this season but had excelled in previous years.

Three more fringe players, Liam Todd, Matthew Waldron and Jovan Laronde, have also departed.

We previously reported that midfielder Freddie Morris had left the club and has signed for Baldock Town..

The squad now features 7 goalkeepers and 27 outfield players. 10 of the squad have joined the club in Fowell’s first six weeks in charge.
